Michael Lounton - Managing Director
Mick has more than 20 years' experience in the telecommunications sector, firstly having begun his career in the Royal Navy as a Weapons and Communications Engineer. Mick specialised in the support and maintenance of ship telephone systems, as well as weapons sensor, sonar and radar systems.
After leaving the Navy in 1995, he joined a London based telecommunications company installing and maintaining the Inter-Tel range of phone systems. He took pride in being one of the first engineers to be accredited to install and support the Inter-Tel Axxess system.
Mick joined the company in 1999 when it was PSU Computers, heading up the new telecommunications division. With his ‘hands on' operational and management style, his expertise helped to significantly grow the business and in 2003, he led a successful management buyout of the company, leading to the creation of the PSU Technology Group as we know it.
Nigel Davies - Technical Director
Nigel has been part of the PSU team for more than ten years, initially as a Microsoft and Compaq-certified Senior Network Engineer working on design, installation and IT support for PSU Computers' customers. In 2003, Nigel was a key part of the successful management buyout of the company, investing in the long term future of the Group's portfolio of services.
Today, Nigel is responsible for PSU's Service Desk and engineering teams, ensuring outstanding customer service delivery across the business. He also directly manages two of its key accounts – British Energy and The Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal. He was instrumental in renegotiating a £1.1 million contract with British Energy in 2009.
Nigel is an accredited ITIL Expert, with full qualifications in Service Strategy, Design, Transition, Operation and Continual Service Improvement and 'Management across the Lifecycle'. Through staff development and training, his overarching aim is to adopt its industry standard for service delivery across the business.
Roy McKnight - Director, PSU Talk
Roy joined the board of directors in 2009, as part of PSU Technology Group's merger with his fixed line and mobile reseller company, Aribus Ltd. Roy has more than 20 years' experience in telecommunications, starting out in the ‘boom' days of mobile phone leasing with Astec Communications. He then formed part of the start up of Total Telecommunications, and as Head of Sales, oversaw growth from zero to a £10million turnover within 8 years, before leaving to start Aribus.
Day to day, Roy's role is focused on securing wholesale deals with suppliers, such as BT and Talk Talk Business, as well as introducing new products and recruiting dealer partners through the Group's highly successful www.telephonesystems.co.uk business portal. This unique proposition offers installers the opportunity to receive genuine and consistently generated market leads for handsets, lines & calls and broadband, with a pound for pound profit share.
