PSU Technology Group (PSU) has secured a significant contract to supply national recruitment specialists, Meridian Business Support (Meridian), with a hosted cloud computing solution.
The contract, worth in excess of £500,000, provides Meridian with the multiple benefits of a co-managed service; with PSU's IT specialists and Meridian's existing IT team working in partnership. Hosted in a modern data centre, the solution utilises the latest Citrix software, running on a virtualised V-platform server to distribute software applications to 340 employees across Meridian's head office and more than 90 branches throughout the UK.
Nigel Dobinson, Group IT Director at Meridian, said: "Adopting the cloud model will make substantial improvements to our operational efficiency. By allowing our data and business critical systems to be managed centrally, we will allow our skilled IT team to concentrate on strategy and proactive support, as opposed to managing disparate systems across multiple locations."
