Everyone wins as Robins team-up with PSU

When Cheltenham Town FC takes to the pitch, their success relies on the depth and breadth of their football skills, years of experience and passion for what they do. It’s the same for Cheltenham-based PSU Technology Group who’ve provided reactive IT support for the Robins over the last couple of years. Now, as well as taking full control of the club’s IT with innovative proactive IT support, PSU has just announced a two-year sponsorship package for the team.

PSU was founded in 1986. Though not boasting quite as long a history as Cheltenham’s top club, three decades has seen the company build an enviable reputation for support and maintenance of critical IT systems, business telephone systems, websites and online business management systems.

Though locally based like the Robins, PSU has also made its mark across the UK with major clients such as Mercedes Benz, Spirax Sarco and Goldsmiths Jewellers plc.

New support for the Robins on- and off-pitch

For nearly two years, we’ve looked after the club’s IT with a traditional reactive support package for ad hoc problems. Now, as well as taking the club’s IT support to new, and much more proactive, levels, we’re sponsoring the Robins for two seasons with prominent back-of-shirt advertising and high profile billboards at Whaddon Road.

It’s further evidence that, just as the Robins are looking ahead to the new season with optimism, we’re looking beyond the credit crunch towards a bright future in IT support.

Giving the red card to reactive, ad hoc IT support

Like an increasing number of Gloucestershire businesses, Cheltenham Town Football Club discovered the benefit of outsourcing the design, deployment and management of IT and communications and choosing an all-encompassing proactive support package.

By putting their trust in PSU and letting us handle all aspects of system design, deployment and maintenance, the club’s given an emphatic red card to the costs and limitations of ‘last season’s’ IT support model.

The peace of mind and continuity of a simple monthly support package

By letting PSU look after all aspects of their IT and comms, the Robins enjoy the peace of mind and continuity of a straightforward monthly package – and the freedom to get on with the game they play best while our team looks after the technology behind the scenes.

Like the sudden midfield turnaround that transforms a football match, PSU’s involvement has eliminated the hassles and uncertainties of managing business-critical technology. Now, management, players and fans can enjoy The Beautiful Game while PSU keeps the club’s IT infrastructure match-fit.

Gloucestershire’s best-kept IT secret?

The breadth and depth of PSU’s IT and communications expertise may be one of Gloucestershire’s best-kept IT secrets – we’re a serious national player that, based in Cheltenham, successfully balances national presence with support for local businesses.

The IT support that every local business should consider

It’s a secret that the Whaddon Road team is delighted to share with other forward-thinking local businesses. As Jon Kirkham - CTFC Associate Director says:

‘PSU brings the advantages of a large, experienced and very safe pair of IT hands; they take the worry out of business IT – everything from networks, security and web presence to VOIP and telephony. You can forget the unpredictable costs of traditional ad hoc support; PSU takes control of all aspects of IT design, implementation and management and gives you the budgeting convenience of one monthly payment. It’s a great result.’

Would your business benefit from a transfer to PSU?

What do you do when you’re not following the Robins? If you’re involved in IT support for a Gloucestershire business, how about considering a timely transfer to proactive IT support from PSU – just like Cheltenham Town?
