Looking at the pictures above and remembering the people and events of 1986, it's hard to imagine that in the March of that year, two guys in Gloucester set up a small company supplying and repairing second hand computer equipment such as BBC micros and IBM clones. They called this company 'Precision Second User'. One takeover and an MBO later, the company has grown to become one of the leading suppliers and maintainers of IT and telecommunication solutions, servicing some of the best known names in the UK.
A company is only as good as it's people and I'm happy to say that I thoroughly enjoy working on a daily basis with every member of our team . We continue to maintain a strong core of skills which when combined with our investment in back office software makes us a very efficient and well oiled machine.
Our recent name change from PSU IT Voice and Data to the PSU Technology Group epitomises our attitude as a company. Convergence as a word exists in most industries, but none so much as in the world of IT and telecommunications. As a company we will continually strive to embrace and communicate the efficiencies and savings that the implementation of new technology can offer to our customers, but without losing site of the fact that most regard us as a 'safe pair of hands' sitting in the background supporting their business.
On a personal note, in 1986 I had just turned 18 and was at the beginning of 9 fantastic years in the Royal Navy.
