Wholesale Line Rental from PSU Talk
Call savings, one bill, free online analysis for every branch
and best of all, one number to call if things go wrong
.

"Unifying all your voice services into one bill from one supplier provides significant savings in terms of both financial and time management, freeing businesses to get on with what they are good at."

But I thought I had to order my lines through BT?

Prior to July 2004, the line rental market had always been monopolised by BT. This lack of competition resulted in rental prices that remained unnecessarily high. In a move to foster competition within the marketplace, directives from OFCOM created complete parity with BT Retail whereby other service providers could have equal access to the provision and management of lines through BT wholesale. In turn, this meant that businesses now had greater choice when selecting service providers.

Ease of management and cost savings

PSU Talk can provide a fully managed voice solution for businesses across the UK. Without needing to replace existing lines, and regardless of location, businesses signing up to our service will enjoy the ease of management and cost saving benefits of working with a single service provider for their voice communications, whilst providing the option to upgrade to converged next-generation services as they become available.

Benefits of receiving just one bill
for your whole organisation

PSU Talk's ‘managed service’ is competitively priced and enables businesses to more effectively manage the cost of communications using one simple bill. This allows enterprises to control and reduce operational costs and deliver improved customer services in a fully scalable and future-proof network.

Previously businesses would receive two separate bills, one from their voice service provider and one from BT for the line rental. Recent developments within BT have now allowed PSU Talk to provide you with an excellent level of service for your telephone lines. We have full access to this resource and are able to offer you a better service having access to all the same line provisioning, fault monitoring and maintenance systems that BT Retail currently enjoy.

The transparency of working with a single service provider allows businesses to analyse costs in more detail and understand what is happening within their network. Call Observer, our online call cost analysis package (free to all PSU Talk customers), also provides reports and fully configurable analysis covering line rental as well as calls. All this managed through a single point of contact at PSU Talk which simplifies the entire management process.

Advantages

We are able to take over the provision and management of your lines and provide you with not only an enhanced service but with the following advantages:

  1. PSU Talk will fully manage the service between the desk and the exchange therefore providing you with a single point of contact for all issues to do with voice or data traffic.

  2. Potential cost savings leveraged through the removal of any unnecessary line plant / select services which BT has accumulated on your account over the years.

  3. Quick and easy to set up - we will transfer the same services you have with your current lines provider.

  4. One bill for your call costs, data costs (VoIP) and line rental.

  5. Ability to view and analyse your bills online.

  6. No minimum call spend or required thresholds required to harness the line rental discount.

  7. A dedicated customer service team who can address all issues relating to the operation and billing of your lines and calls. If you have a line fault call them, if you have a billing enquiry call them, if you need more lines call them, etc.

Order new lines or transfer existing lines

Renting your BT telephone lines through PSU Talk rather than BT is extremely easy and cost effective with our wholesale line rental service. Many of our customers are already transferring their line rental over to PSU in order to make even further monthly savings. There is very little paperwork to complete and the new service could be operational within ten working days. The transfer is extremely straightforward and there are no physical changes to your telephone line. No additional engineering work is required unless you need to order a new telephone line.

But how can you be cheaper?

PSU Talk now have access to BT Wholesale and can purchase the rental of your telephone line (whether analogue, ISDN2e or ISDN30e) at a wholesale price therefore passing on the savings by reselling it at a reduced monthly rate. PSU Talk offers one of the most competitive call tariffs on the market therefore enhancing the savings on your phone bill.

Do you have to install new lines at our premises?

No. We offer business of all sizes the benefit of a complete line rental package including services and fault reporting. BT's line maintenance division BT Openreach will still manage faults and undertake installations for the physical phone line, PSU Talk just bill you for it. Your phone number will remain the same and you will simply receive an itemised bill from PSU Talk instead of BT for your PSTN and ISDN line rentals. If you do have any problems, you just call us and we'll look after the rest for you.

What do I do next?

Making the move is really easy. All you need do is call us on 0870 1121128 and tell us which numbers you want to switch, along with the billing postcode and we'lll take care of the rest.
